New Goth Music
Below is a list of new goth music from both established names as well as newcomers in this great genre. I have tried to add links where it has been possible to help you out in finding more great songs from these new goth music artists.
I am constantly adding new goth music to this list so feel free to come back at anytime to check it out for new stuff.
And by “new goth music” I include everything that is done after the goth period that gave birth to Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy and other great artists. So, yes, there are mostly songs here that are not new in the sense of top-list-new, but if you are on this site I guess top-lists are not for you anyway. Hope you’ll find some new music to listen to.
New goth music – the list
Then Comes Silence – Strangers
Then Comes Silence is a swedish gothic rock band formed in 2012 in Stockholm. They have released quite a few albums and a huge bunch of singles. The band is regulary touring so if you get the chance to catch them, make sure to do so. Link to their official website is found below.
Svarta Sanningar – Ritual de luxe
Svarta Sanningar is presenting us with some new goth music from Sweden. Formed by members of the gothic metal band Beseech. Their lyrics are in Swedish so you may not understand what they are singing about but it’s definitely some great new goth music that the band is delivering.
You can check out their website at the link below.
Still Patient – Anavryn
I loved this song from the very first second I heard it. Still Patient has actually been around since 1988 and this song is from 2014, but I guess this will be “new” to some of you anyway since the band has been flying under the radar for a long time and deserves a lot more attention than they get.
Ulterior – Body Hammer
Ulterior was formed in the U.K. in 2006 and could be viewed like a marriage between Billy Idol and The Sisters of Mercy. The band was very active between 2006-2013 but has since then been silent. They played support band to some big bands like The Sisters of Mercy and also appeared on the bigger European festival stages before going on a hiatus.
La Scaltra – Mater
La Scaltra is a dark wave / gothic three-piece band from Essen, Germany. They have released quite a few both physical and digital releases that all sound very good. Gloomy, danceable and thoughtful Gothic Rock with sinister guitars and Wave elements, witch music for the 21st century
Cerulean Veins – Dance in the darkness
Cerulean Veins is a duo from San Diego consisting of Amanda Ashley Toombs and Dustin Frelich. A goth rock / darkwave / post-punk band formed during 2013. Dance in the darkness is a single off their 2020 album “Blue”.
Underground Fire – End of the night
Underground Fire is yet another great Swedish act. Fronted by the legendary Rob Coffinshaker they play their own style of dark, country-influenced, gothic rock. End of the night is a track from the bands 2018 album “Ashes of life”.
William Bleak – Crows and ravens
William Bleak is a Post Punk/Cold Wave Band from Berlin, Germany, combining pumping electronic rhythms with manic guitars and guttural baselines into a grotesque yet celebratory sound.
Once a Post Punk three piece which played dreamy, melancholic Rock inspired by half remembered memories, they have since rapidly evolved in favour of a bold, cold and heavy sound more directly inspired by the harsh winters of Berlin.
